Sense of Place on March 29, 2020

Picture
From Camilyn Leone: Thank you for those members and founders of EEC of Greenwood who came before me for creating a beautiful place.  They built a church that humbly sits atop a hill under a canopy of old oak trees.  The steeple reaches into the sky, but it is beneath the branches that lift my eyes in wonder of our God. This reminds me that all human endeavors should seek to honor God’s creation.  How blessed we are to have this place to come together as Christians sheltered by God’s love.

For many.. the relative safety of a nature hike, a walk outside, gardening etc is very sustaining during this time.  What outdoor activity have you been able to enjoy? Comment below!

Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine is inviting folks post all your outdoor adventures (whether it is a walk outside or trying to land a big rainbow trout) with the tag #outsidewethrive

Old Trail Wildlife

3/19/2020

Old Trail's resident wildlife photographer Marshall Faintich shared these photos to the Old Trail Neighbors Facebook group on March 19... these are a few of the 30 avian species he saw that day in Old Trail.  Many Emmanuel parishioners reside in Old Trail.

Run! Wendy, Run!

3/18/2020

Wendy Bragaw recently ran her 10th marathon in Atlanta. She also recently posted that right now the only thing that feels normal is running. We love how she posts pictures of her running gear!  We have many dedicated runners at Emmanuel. What's your favorite race?

WELCOME
This is the table, not of the Church but of Jesus Christ. It is made ready for those who love God and who want to love God more.
So come, you who have much faith and you who have little, You who have been here often and you who have not been for a long time or ever before.
You who have tried to follow and all of us who have failed. These are the gifts of God for the People of God.
